Accommodation

University Accommodation

Accommodation for the conference is being provided solely in the most attractive halls of residence at the University of Huddersfield. Aspley Hall is just a stones throw away from the main conference venue on the university campus. It is also ideally situated in close proximity to Huddersfield town centre (5 minute walk). The rooms are competitively priced and offer attractive, high quality accommodation to suit all needs.

Availability:

Rooms will be allocated on a first come first served basis.  It may be possible to increase the allocation but that will very much depend on early applications and will be subject to availability.

Check in times:

Check in will be available from 11am -7pm on Tuesday 8th July and 11am – 5pm on Wednesday 9th July.  Check out will be no later than 10am. All keys must be handed in at this point. A luggage room will be provided by the university for the rest of the day.

Breakfast:

Breakfast is not provided on site at Aspley Hall although there are facilities for self catering. As part of the residential cost, breakfast will be provided at Café on 3rd, located on Level 3 of the Central Services Building, University of Huddersfield from 8.00am till 9.00am on the Thursday and Friday mornings only.  

Tuesday night:

Those requiring an extra night before the official start of the conference can book an additional nights accommodation (there is an option to do this on the booking form). Please note that breakfast is not provided at the university on the Wednesday morning.

Parking:

There are parking facilities on the university campus for conference delegates at the Wakefield Road Car Park (see map for directions and location).

Hotel Accommodation

For delegates requiring hotel accommodation it will be necessary for them to book independently and directly with the hotel. (All communication with and payment to the hotel will be the responsibility of the delegate).  Rooms have been reserved at a number of local hotels in the name of the British Society of Criminology Conference.
